DB9 connectors are a great way to make a tight connection on your project or to plug into existing serial lines. Now you can make your own DB9 cables the easy way with these crimp-on ribbon cable connectors. These work great with our 10-wire ribbon cable, you just need to peel back the one unneeded wire. One thing to be aware of is that there is no internal wiring in these connectors, so the ribbon cable carries the serial pins in this order: 1-6-2-7-3-8-4-9-5. If you put a standard ribbon cable connector down the cable, its pin numbering will not match that of the serial connector.
This is actually a DE9 connector.
Well these look interesting... I have no need for them but still.
