Why are all 3v coin batteries so expensive? Everywhere has them at this price, too!

Any idea the mAh rating for these? I put 2 (dollar store sourced 4/$1) of these together to make 3v and light a superbright LED and its been dimly lit for about a week.

e wondering: These should fit the 12mm holders listed below. Or at least in theory.

The Practical Working Voltage for these is actually 1.15 V., so using 3 of these probably would've been better.

Not sure about the mAh rating though... But would really like to know as well.

not quite the bulk pricing of other sites, but im sure sparkfun has a better quality source than such resellers :) last set of 100 from batteriesandbutter.com 22 of them arrived dead. :)

Don't even get me started on that website. Last week, I bought 100 tubs of butter, and 22 of them turned out to be batteries!

    • We knew we couldn't compete with big battery stores but if we needed them we figured some folks would need them as well (basically anyone who has digital calipers). That said - "batteries and butter" is the best name for a business I've seen for a long time!
