Is is stretchy, as in, could I apply it to spandex?

It is not stretch, you could apply it to spandex, but it would not stretch. The material is laminated, so think of it like a laminated piece of fabric for an idea of how bendable/stretchy it is.

Any datasheets on this stuff? Light output? Any other form factors? I could see some very cool addressable dot-matrix block formats for this stuff, or 7/14 segment, etc. etc.

Will it still work if you cut it to shape?

Just to be certain I understand... if I wanted to use one of these panels to display a flame, I'd need to mask "non-flame" areas but they would still consume power?

By the way: Is there any way to use the SF "search..." feature to locate user comments?

        Thank you.

Correct on the masking/power requirements. Note that somewhere else (I think it was in the product news post) it was mentioned that maybe you actually can cut these to shape, that they hadn't tried, but that if it works at all you'll need to find some way to properly insulate the edges to prevent a nasty zap and make them washable again (if that was one of the desired properties leading to the choice of product).

There's no search option for comments. I'd imagine it wouldn't be hard to add, but making it display the most appropriate results could be a challenge :) Google does grab the comments when indexing, but these products are new and Google hasn't re-indexed with any added comments yet. It's usually a good idea to check for comments on similar products.
