The Bluetooth Cubelet contains a tiny Bluetooth radio that you can pair with your Android device or PC. With the Cubelets Control app running on your Android device, you can override Action Cubelets and remote control your robot. Drive it around on the floor like a radio control car or turn the Flashlight and Speaker Cubelets on from the next room. Communication works the other way too: you can read data from Sense Cubelets remotely.
Cubelets Control is a free app that connects to a Bluetooth Cubelet. It does two things: it can remote control up to six Cubelets, and it can also read their values. So you can communicate both ways with your Cubelets robot: read and write. Currently the Cubelets Control app is only available on Google Play for Android or PC. Macs or iOS devices are *not *currently supported.
Cubelets are magnetic blocks that can be snapped together to make an endless variety of robots. You can build robots that drive around on a tabletop, respond to light, sound, and temperature, and have surprisingly lifelike behavior. But instead of programming that behavior, you snap the cubelets together and watch the behavior emerge like with a flock of birds or a swarm of bees.
Note: Cubelets require a special battery and charger. You will need to purchase the charger separately.
If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Noob - You don't need to reference a datasheet, but you will need to know basic power requirements.

I think something along the lines of a 'controller' cubelet would be cool. Program it in like C or something with Microchip or Atmels libraries and send the program over the bluetooth to the controller. That would make this product line VERY cool. But then again, that would require a completely different way of the cubelets transferring data to each other. (More of an addressed method instead of 'static' like connections) Idk. Lots of ways the company that make cubelets could expand from here.
The Bluetooth Cubelet can actually do that.
