How hard/feasible is it to swap out the LED in this button with an RGB LED?

I actually wired in a 16 pixel NeoPixel ring, and that works great. I'll publish the details soon.

I'm wondering the same thing, and can hopefully bump this question. I'm making a 6 player buzzer system for my classroom, but only 5 colors seem to exist.

I bought these economy pushbuttons taking the risk that they would not be good enough for my project, but they are way better than they look. It still has a precise click and it's resistant. I'm very satisfied with this product.
