These standard gearmotors are incredibly tough and feature full metal gears to help you drive wheels, gears, or almost anything else that needs to turn. They have a gear ratio of 3000:1 and operate up to 12 volts and deliver a stall torque of 2995 oz-in. and a max speed of 0.5 RPM. Each standard gearmotor sports a 6mm diameter D-shaft.

Some of you all may have noticed that this motor has the same gear ratio and stall torque as the Standard Gearmotor - 1 RPM. These values are identical because the 0.5 RPM motor has a different winding than the 1 RPM, resulting in a lower speed but near identical gear ratio and stall torque. This is done because the gearbox cannot handle a larger load. We hope this clears up any confusion.

I'm building a high resolution encoder system for telescopes. Needed a slow motor for some tests. It is nice and slow.
Works as advertised.
It's a great DC gear motor The torque is enough to rotate another platform and support scaffolding that has yet another motor. It is robust and uses much less power than I thought.
The Torque is wrong . It is impossible to have 2995 ounce-inch . Thanks.
So, in the picture, I see three screws, though I expect that there is another one in the hole behind the shaft. Are those screws for mounting or do they hold the assembly together?

For these motors, can we PLEASE get some sort of datasheet for each model, or at least a power and torque curve. That kind of information is important! These parts are too expensive to employ the guess and check method when you're designing for complex systems!

Is it possible that this spec should be Gear Ratio of 6000:1 and the stall torque is 5999 oz-in? That would seem correct given the specs on 1 RPM and 2 RPM gear motors.
An answer to this and the request for torque curve would be really nice.
I did double check the suppliers product page and the specs listed on our page are correct. I'll look into getting a torque curve from them.
