- DC Barrel Jack Plug - Female
This female barrel jack plug is great for adding a common connector to the end of wires. This jack is compatible with 5.5x2.1mm barrel connectors. The outer shell unscrews to reveal solder terminals and a crimp strain relief. The outer shell has strain relief as well.

Doesn't Fit
I recently bought a variety of DC Barrel Jack connectors including part numbers
PRT-13126 - this item.
TOL-08639 - USB to barrel male.
COM-11705 - Switch with male & female barrel connectors.
PRT-10287 - Barrel male with screw terminals.
PRT-09518 - 9v battery to barrel male.
All are listed as 5.5x2.1mm. Most of these work great together.
However, this Barrel Jack Plug - Female does NOT fit with PRT-10287 Barrel male with screw terminals. I'm certain this female plug is the culprit as it is also a rather tight fit with the other male barrel connectors and the screw terminal male seems to work fine with the other female connectors.
I would have gotten the PRT-11476 DC Barrel Jack Plug Male, but didn't want to wait. This male may work fine with the female connector I have issue with today.
Be warned, not all barrel connectors are created equal. :(
Wow. That cup in the center is next to impossible to solder to.
What gauge wire can this thing take? Had a problem recently where I ordered a barrel jack connector like this and the stretchy thing on the end was way too small for the wire.
