USB Micro-B Cable - 6"

This is a USB 2.0 type A to Micro-B 5-pin black cable. You know, the mini-B connector that usually comes with cell phones, Cameras, MP3 players, etc. We specifically like these 6" long cables because using USB peripherals in projects within a small enclosure is much easier these days, and most times you really don't need six feet of cable to do that. You can still use this USB cable with our Micro-B LiPo Charger Basic, Pro Micros, Micro-B USB breakout, or anything else that utilizes a Micro-B connector type!

    OUTRAGE This Is Not RED!!!!

    :P

  • Do these meet USB 2.0 or 3.0 specs? Could they stand up to 2 amps of current?

Two of these wont fit into the Edison Base Block side by side, most annoying (to wide).

I love these! I have seriously bought about a dozen of the Adafruit ones. They come in handy everywhere, especially in tight project spaces. Lots of household and travel uses for them too. If you have one of those mega multiport USB chargers (like the popular Anker ones), short cables are great for reducing the clutter around them. Faster charging too - less cable, less volt drop.

That's about 150 mm for those of us who live in one of the ~98.5% of the world's countries that use the metric system.

Does its job, with one slight issue...

Everything about this is perfect, except I bought two for use with an Intel Edison, and since the plastic around the Micro-B end is so thick, putting them into adjacent plugs was a bit difficult. Trimming the plastic down solved the issue. Great product besides that minor detail, much less hassle than using the two 3+ foot cables I had before.

Nice small cable that gets the job done

I deal with bigger boards than most, and this cable has helped out in power functionality as well. I have an external backup battery that is easier to use than have multiple USB cables popping out everywhere.

Works exactly as expected!

I got this specifically to have a short cable for connecting my laptop and Arduino Leonardo. It is indeed a short cable (six inches, as per the description). And it does indeed work with the Leonardo, as one would expect a USB Micro-B cable to do. Plus, you can't beat the two-dollar price tag. Would buy again.
