Earn HNT cryptocurrency by mining and building coverage for The People’s Network using Nebra HNT Hotspot Miner. Anyone can join The People's Network and provide hundreds of square miles of wireless network coverage, while mining HNT on the Helium Blockchain just as Helium Hotspots do.
The People's Network runs on Helium LongFi™, a technology architecture that combines a leading wireless technology, LoRaWAN, and the Helium Blockchain. LongFi™ is optimised for miles of range, and long battery life for IoT devices.
The Nebra HNT Indoor Hotspot Miner earns the cryptocurrency HNT when devices connect., and for validating wireless coverage delivered by peers. Using a system called Proof-of-Coverage, Hotspot Miners earn more HNT when they're in range of other miners, but need to be at least 300 metres apart.
The Hotspot Miner sets up in minutes and has a smartphone app interface. This variation is the indoor model. The Nebra Outdoor HNT Hotspot Miner provides the same functionality in a rugged outdoor ready enclosure. This is the the North American version (915 MHz) - Nebra PN NBR-0064. We do not carry the international version at this time.

I received my Nebra Rock Pi hot spot and began the set up process. The Nebra quick start and detailed online directions make it look so easy. Unfortunately, after having the hot spot for three weeks, I'm still working with Nebra support to get it fully functioning. Initially, the mobile app could not see my hot spot. Then once I got them communicating, the mobile app didn't register my Nebra with Helium. Working past that and thinking everything was good, Nebra told me that my network wasn't set up properly. So I had to reserve an IP and open a port. I worked through that and now Nebra support tells me that there is a server issue. I'm sooo looking forward to getting this setup completely. Otherwise, I'm grateful that Nebra support is pretty good as we continue to work through all the set up issues.

I've had mine about one month, having waited a year for it. In that one month, I've had to contact Nebra about 4 times. Whether it was syncing issues, relaying issues, or most recently when it just stopped mining altogether for two days, Nebra always gets it back up and running, but there's no explanation as to what happened. Build quality seems OK, though it does run a bit hot for a device that apparently uses hardly any energy. Would I buy it again? Probably not. Do I regret buying this one? Not really, because as a learning tool, this has been very educational - I've learned a lot about this miner, Nebra, and the Helium network as well. That is why my review stars are right in the middle at three stars.

After a year waiting, I finally received my miner (batch4) unfortunately the miner was broken and not really booting up 😡 but the Nebra support helped me with a new custom firmware to flash it! Now the miner is one of the beasts in my region and this even with a hexagon with other 16 miners

Purchased over a year ago. Finally received the Miner 3 weeks ago. Hasn't work since I connected it. Tech support has tried to solve the issue but currently I have a 400.00 paper weight

After countless delays and even a totally new product, the Nebra finally showed up. It took me weeks to get this thing working correctly, it turns out, the WiFi only works for a short time after you turn it on. It finally is running, not relayed, and fully synced... But now I have to figure an alternative way to put it in the location I planned with a hardwired connection. Very disappointing product, I would avoid Nebra at all costs.

It’s been hooked up for a 2 or 3 weeks and it’s just sucking energy. Says OFFLINE when it’s plugged in.

After waiting well over a year for this thing to arrive, it rarely functions and the manufacturer does not respond to support requests. I took a risk on this, and was not rewarded.

I ordered a rak and a Nebra to see which one would be better… the rak is booming but the Nebra isn’t working. I’m positive it has a diffect. It’s not catching witnesses, I’ve tried adding a 8dbi anthenna and nothing worked… I’m very disappointed in this product.

This review is for Nebra manufacturer and Sparkfun the vendor for the product.
Just like others, I waited a almost a year to receive my units. Didn't work when received and I emailed Nebra. They responded with "leave it connected to my LAN and a fix update would be pushed". Never happened. I then followed up multiple times, with no response.
Luckily I have a strong credit card company relationship and opened a dispute with a few days to spare on the 1 year period.
Sparkfun is just as responsible and one could draw a conclusion both Sparkfun and Nebra worked together in a fraudulent manner.
I'm usually an agreeable person and work with companies that work with me. Since both have been non responsive, I will be pursuing legal options that will at a minimum slow their business in the US.
Good luck to all in this unfortunate predicament.
Sparkfun, please don't waste your time responding to this post. Your actions speak louder than any BS you will add here.
