This is the 6.5ft version of the Fast Charging USB C to C cable. Charging or powering your USB Type C device can be daunting and finding a cable that fits both your interface and provides safe power levels is a new challenge presented with USB Type C. This 6.5ft long USB Type C to Type C cable from USAMS fits the bill at a great price with some extra cool features. The power draw (100W, the maximum for USB C PD Spec) can be seen on an LCD screen built into the USB Type C connector. It provides high current (5A), fast charging, and USB 2.0 data rates (480Mbps) in an extra sturdy nylon braided cable.
If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Noob - You don't need to reference a datasheet, but you will need to know basic power requirements.

Although the name of the product has "LCD" in it, it is NOT a Liquid Crystal Display -- it's clearly a Light Emitting Diode (LED) display.
Another minor problem is that when I have it plugged into my MacBook Pro, which has the USB-C sockets on the left side, the display is upside-down.
Maybe the next generation of this will have the ability to communicate the readings via BLE. It would be nice to be able to log the power, and rotate the display 180 degrees! Or maybe set an "averaging time", such as 30 seconds or 60 seconds, to get the display to bounce around less.
