The Raspberry Pi 5 case is a refinement of the Raspberry Pi 4 case. With improved thermal features to support the higher peak power consumption of Raspberry Pi 5, it integrates a variable-speed fan. The fan is powered and controlled from a dedicated connector on the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB.
The case is available in the signature Raspberry Pi red/white color scheme.
If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Noob - You don't need to reference a datasheet, but you will need to know basic power requirements.

The official RPi 5 case is quite good and it’s nice to have a removable cover that leaves the cooling fan in place and still has access to the GPIO header.

Gee, this "Raspberry Pi 5 Case - Red/White", sure looks cool! I wish you would ship the Raspberry Pi 5 that I ordered so I could give you a more in-depth review! ;-) Seriously, this looks like the best case that Raspberry Pi has offered for any of their SBCs. The built-in cooling fan looks good, I just hope it's good enough to keep the Raspberry Pi 5 cool.

No external power connections, In fact, no connection for monitors or networks or anything. Very lightweight, but doesn’t even serve well as a paperweight. The box is just as functional. And utter disappointment
