If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Noob - You don't need to reference a datasheet, but you will need to know basic power requirements.

Radio Shack never has these in stock, amazon is insanely expensive, and in all honesty I had a hard time finding them anywhere else. Run the dead-on RTC well when powered off. Have lost less than 5 seconds in almost a month now. Good power is the first key to this.
I just ordered 6 of these, and the first one I tried is dead on arrival.

"Note: You are only getting one battery."
What if I want two?
hehe i am sure if your order two you get two
You guys forgot to put the voltage in the description. Fortunately, it shows in the photo (3V).
Are these batteries rechargable ?
How is this battery different than the PRT11305? Actually I am looking for the smallest battery that can light one superbright LED bulb. Please direct. Thanks
the LR44 is smaller, it's 11.4 x 5.2mm roughly.
Does it take more than one LR44 to light a 5mm superbright LED?
it will depend on the LED and its voltage drop really. Check out this tutorial. the third and 4th page can be skimmed to learn more about what batteries to use with which LEDs.
Datasheet?? No, seriously. I need Operating Temperature!!!
