A good shade of red, strips like normal (your insulation won't slip right off), and is much like copper wire.
We want blue!
Nine years later, and still no blue...
any plans to carry this and other solid hook-up wires in larger rolls? I usually get 100 ft rolls so they last a while, but Radioshack keeps bumping the price every few months.
Is this wire copper?
no
Are you certain? Typically this hook-up wire, and especially when actually labeled as UL1007/TR-64, is tinned copper.
I am not certain, I based my answer off of the picture. I apologize for my lack of fact and elucidation; in the future I will more properly answer a fellow customer's question.
Will these ever be back in stock?
Woo! back in stock!
EDIT: outta stock again ;_;
FYI for anyone who cares about the shape of the roll...this picture isn't very accurate. The roll is only about 1/2 this wide and has a different diameter hole than the black. Not usually a big deal, but I was looking at mounting a few of these of different colors next to each other on a rod, and they have a different shape so that won't quite work.
