The is a very powerful and versatile measurement device. The unit has 4 main modes and many other features:

  • Compass Mode: Tilt compensated digital compass rendered to the LCD
  • Survey Mode: Measure and store inclination and azimuth shots with a laser pointer
  • Pedometer: Counts steps
  • Gaussmeter: Absolute magnitude, relative magnitude, and 3 axis vector mode

    Calibration is very simple and can be done automatically. The unit has the ability to store at least 500 measurements. Measurements are accurate to the degree. The user can retrieve data and configure the module via USB.

    The device includes a battery and can be charged via USB. There is also room for a larger battery if needed.

    Website no longer exists (just a squatting page as of 2013-01-01.) Author mentioned in the user's guide appears to be living on a sailboat and staying off the internet :-)
