Replacement:COM-09401. This part has been discontinued, however we now carry the LY530AL low-power single-axis gyro, which is a suitable replacement in most applications. This page is for reference only.

This is a low power single axis gyro from ST Microelectronics with a 300 degree per second maximum range. Options include integrated low pass filters and an embedded power down feature. Gives a angular rate analog voltage through one pin. Comes in a LGA-28 pin package.

  • 2.7 to 3.6VDC supply
  • +/-300 degree/ second output

Any chance you'd consider making a breakout board mounting three of these gyros to measure X, Y and Z axes?

ST has a dual-axis (pitch and roll) gyro that is similarly priced. Cheap gyros = cool new toys!

  • How about a 6DOF breakoutboard with IDG300, LISY300AL and MMA7260Q. That would be great for the UAV fans!
Better still to embed all those on a Logomatic with a free I2C port!!

Does anyone have an eagle footprint for this?

  • Any time-frame on when a breakout board version will be available?

    • This gyro works very well. Breakout board should be posted mid to late December 2008.

Agreed! I would love to have a breakout board of this chip.

Anyone used this gyro? Price is little bit surprising.
