The ScrewShield extends all pins of the Arduino out to 3.5mm pitch screw terminals. Both sides of the shield are broken out to the side of the Arduino, to allow access to everything on the main Arduino board. Stacking headers are also included so you can pile more shields on top.
This product includes all the parts shown and comes in kit form and must be soldered together by the end user. Check out the WingShield homepage for assembly instructions. All soldering is through-hole.

Screwshield sure looked like a great idea, but was not sturdy enough for me. I debated making a custom 'U' shaped stand to support the wings and board, but have another alternative:
Why not solder the wings directly to the bottom of the Arduino? I considered taking all the pins out of the Arduino and resolder new with the Screwshieled in place, but now I am looking at soldering them directly to the tiny stubs on the arduino. Unfortunately all of my Arduino's are in project boxes cut to allow for USB/power access, and the added height would not work. Going to order another Arduino, and try it.
ANY suggestions welcome before I heat up the iron and commit. Thanks!!

I just got one of these and I love it. It soldered up really easily and I find that the wings are very stable on their own, really really stable when another shield is stacked on top.
Overall, highly recommend, and excellent addition to any toolbox.
I just got this kit 5/1/2010 and it had all 34 pins of the 3.5 mm screw terminals. The stackable headers are still 2.5mm too long.
If you put a shield on top of the wing shield, it might be stable but if you want to use it just to give you screw terminals for all your pins, it isn't stable. in fact the headers it came with were so long, I had to cut a 1/4 of an inch off of them to get the shield to sit flat; otherwise it was pretty wobly. Once that was done it was reasonably solid. Wonder why the headers were soo long?
These headers are the same used in shields, and are tall enough so the bottom of the shield doesn't hit the USB connector. They seat pretty firmly, so I'm surprised your shield was wobbly when installed. It should be relatively firm.
32 pins of 3.5mm screw terminals, for a PCB with 34 connections.

Agreed! I thought I had lost a terminal block until I went back and checked the description. Seems like unfortunate cost cutting to me, and SFE doesn't (currently) carry the 2-pin version of this terminal block as an orderable item.
