Capacitor 100nF SMD (strip of 50)

There are more and more hobbyists taking advantage of surface mount technology these days. With affordable tools like hot air and hotplate reflow ovens, electronics enthusiasts are shrinking their projects down to new levels of portability. Unfortunately, It's not always easy to get your hands on small amounts of SMD parts so here's a strip of common capacitors.

That's right, each pack includes 50 tiny 0603 SMD capacitors in cut-tape packaging.

  • 100nF
  • Rated at 25V
  • +80/-20% Tolerance

Are those good for use with pic, avr and msp430's? Between vcc and gnd?

Got the data sheet on these? That will tell us what quality they are...

They're probably Y5U dielectric or similar, given the +20/-80% tolerance. They are fine for generic bypass capacitors. I wouldn't use them for audio or precision analog applications (e.g., coupling caps in a headphone amp).
