Replacement:COM-11783. We've released a new version of our SIK carrying case, go check it out now! This page is for reference only.
When we overhauled the SparkFun Inventor's Kit, we started from the box up. This spiffy new carrying case was designed by our very own Ministry of Machines and features nine separate compartments under a latch-down lid. The underside of the box has a latch-down lid as well where you can put user manuals, documents, just about anything that will lay flat.
These are great carrying cases for taking your prototyping project on the run.

Can you add a picture of the inside?
yep, we're working on it.
Yo, still working on it?
unfortunately, yes. our photographer was out of town and just got back. expect pictures in a couple of days.
Great design, finally a place to put the printed guide
Getting the manual inside was one of my biggest concerns. Casey (the designer) did a great job!
best name for a case designer ever.
Agreed
Is this guy ESD safe? I'm looking for storage that will allow me to ditch some static bags.
really a good case for collecting spare parts !
Have a 3D printer and you broke the latches on your box? We’ve got you covered – http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:56605
Do you have an .stl of the red clips that I can print? I ordered a bunch of these for my class and a handful came with broken red clips.

Made a few of these for somebody that bought some of these kits and they seem to like them. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:32839
Shameless pandering of printed goods ;)
received mine with broken latch (both case-side breaks). It fell off upon removing the shrink wrap.
Bought this hoping to replace my older SIK box (one of the side clips had broken off). Within 2 minutes of use, the back clip has already broken off and one of the front clips popped off (was able to reattach). I love the design, but the back clips need more plastic to withstand any sort of normal use (and I didn't even take it anywhere).
