Sometimes when you have too many choices, it's hard to make a good decision. In fact, there are times when you just want a bag of LEDs, just one of each, that's all you want. Well here you go! The LED Mixed Bag contains one each of our 10mm LEDs as well as a coin cell battery to light them up. This is a great way to sample each one and decide what your project really needs.
Need smaller LEDs? Checkout our 5mm mixed bag.
Note: Due to the requirements of shipping the battery in this kit, orders may take longer to process and therefore do not qualify for same-day shipping. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.
Skill Level: Rookie - You may be required to know a bit more about the component, such as orientation, or how to hook it up, in addition to power requirements. You will need to understand polarized components.

Based on 1 ratings:
Please be aware that since this bag of LEDs contains a battery, your entire order will be delayed. This is warned about in the item description, but you may not realize the implications to your order as whole. I was still waiting 4 days later for the order to be reviewed (without any communication from SF) And after contacting them, was still unlikely to get the whole order shipped within a few days.
The bad rating has nothing to do with the product, just the effect of delaying your order.
Customer Service via the chat were very prompt and helpful BTW
Hey, we're working on a new sku that will not include a battery. Thanks for the feedback.
Need a retail version!
Also posted as a review (but not everyone reads those)

Do these have built in resistors? I don't think the coin cell battery would work with them directly without ruining them otherwise. Unless 3 volts can light an LED directly without ruining it due to the voltage drop?
I don't the led's have built in resistors, but you could probably get away with using the coin cell battery directly. They (coin cell batteries) usually have enough internal resistance to limit the current into the LED. BTW - it's not the voltage that let's out the magic smoke, it's the current. You CAN ruin an LED with large enough reverse bias (the datasheet has this, it's called the avalanche breakdown voltage - although some classes of diodes operate on this voltage like the zener), but it's the current that will kill a forward biased LED. Again, it depends on the LED, but the smaller 5mm regular intensity LED's can usually pull up to 20ma before you start to shorten their life.
Just to be safe though (and if you don't care if the LED dims a bit) you can slap a 220ohm resistor in series there.
So needed!!! Finally!!! can't get enough of those 10mm.....
