This is a 0.45kg (1lb) reel of 2.85mm "natural-colored" Alloy 910 nylon co-polymer filament for 3D printing. Specially developed to exhibit the ideal characteristics of several different classes of 3D printing filaments, Alloy 910 offers the strength and durability of nylon with the same minimal shrink nature of PLA. Alloy 910 makes for ideal material to be used in frames or enclosures that are subject to stress and high impact, and items exposed to repeated flexing such as buckles and clasps.
Alloy 910 is among the strongest materials you can currently 3D print. When printed, it has a tensile strength of 8,500 PSI (58.6 MPa), making Alloy 910 almost as strong as polycarbonate but easier to manipulate, as it warps up to five times less. If you are looking for 3D printing filament that is perfect for applications where high strength and stiffness are key, Alloy 910 is your best bet! The material comes on a heavy-duty plastic reel and vacuum sealed to keep out any moisture.
Note: Alloy 910 is a nylon co-polymer filament material. Applying a glue stick directly to the print surface before starting your 3D printer is strongly recommended.
Whether it's for assembling a kit, hacking an enclosure, or creating your own parts; the DIY skill is all about knowing how to use tools and the techniques associated with them.
Skill Level: Competent - You might need to break out the power tools. Nothing beyond a power drill or rotary tool should be required, but you might have a hard time with just a screwdriver and hammer. Cutting holes into plastic or metal might be required.
