This is a 500mm long 4-conductor cable with 1mm JST termination. It’s designed to connect Qwiic enabled components together but can be used for other applications as well.
Each Qwiic Cable's wires have been color coded to red, black, blue and yellow.
This cable is used for connecting Qwiic boards that need to be very far away from the controller. Note that I2C signals will degrade over longer distances. We recommend keeping the connections to 1 meter or less. That said, we've daisy-chained boards 2 meters (four of these cables) away from a RedBoard successfully. Your mileage may vary.
The SparkFun Qwiic connect system is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This reduces the amount of required PCB space, and polarized connections mean you can’t hook it up wrong.

CCS811 SENSOR with a BME280 daysichained. One of the boards with the pull ups diabled (by cutting the jumpers) does not work on a esp32 v1.0 thing board. One sensor on the bus works using the long cable. Two sensors on the bus with shor cables work but one long cable- sensor-short cable-sensor does not work. At least when talking about ccs811
So be aware of that. Again, board-longcable-sensor works but board-longcable-sensorwithnopullups-shortcables-sensorwithpullups does not work
Yup! All fixed. Thank you!
