Skinny Side-Lit LED RGBW Strip - Addressable, 1m, 60LEDs (SK6812)

These are side-lit addressable 1-meter-long 5V RGBW LED strips that come packed with 60 SK6812s. SK6812 LEDs are very similar to WS2812s with a few caveats: SK6812s add a white LED to the classic RGB mixture allowing you to provide new varieties of color to your project! What makes this LED strip stand apart from others like it is the fact that each SK6812 is attached at a right angle allowing even more options when incorporating it into any design or idea that you want. As these are bare LED strips that have no protective coating, your project won’t be water proof but there is access to each SK6812 LED and each strip length can be easily modified to fit the length you need. You will be able to control each LED RGB individually, giving you the ability to create cool lighting effects for your car or perhaps under-cabinet lighting in your kitchen!

Note: These come in 1m segments on a reel. They are preterminated with 0.1" spaced 3-pin connectors, as shown in the pictures.

3 Electrical Prototyping

Skill Level: Competent - You will be required to reference a datasheet or schematic to know how to use a component. Your knowledge of a datasheet will only require basic features like power requirements, pinouts, or communications type. Also, you may need a power supply that?s greater than 12V or more than 1A worth of current.
