A simple breakout PCB for the CNZ1120 Photo Interrupter. This PCB has three connections for PWR (3V-6V), GND, and Signal. When the gate is clear, SIG will be low (<0.5V). When the gate is blocked by a finger, writing utensil, food pellet, or anything else - SIG will go high (>4.5V). Assembled picture is for reference only. Parts are listed below. 220 or 330Ohm resistor will work.
Note: We no longer sell the CNZ1120, but if you have one, we still have the PCB for it.
This skill defines how difficult the soldering is on a particular product. It might be a couple simple solder joints, or require special reflow tools.
Skill Level: Noob - Some basic soldering is required, but it is limited to a just a few pins, basic through-hole soldering, and couple (if any) polarized components. A basic soldering iron is all you should need.

will this board work with Sharp micro part number GP1S094HCZ0F (available as Digikey part number 425-1964-5-ND)
Or could you suggest some available interrupter that would work? Thanks!
So, do you guys not actually sell the CNZ1120 piece?
They no longer sell it.
Ah, it appears to go with this.
D'oh! I mean this. However, that has it's own breakout board...
The only difference appears to be that the output is inverted.
