You asked for it! We now have a high quality 3.5" diagonal color TFT display. This crystal clear LCD requires some serious controller crunching to get it lit - but when it's on, it's beautiful. 320x240 pixels gives you plenty of display area as well. Uses the HX8218A driver IC.
This TFT LCD looks extremely similar to the Virtual COGs TFT, but it is different. You may want to check the datasheet for the Virtual COGs TFT for a general idea of functional properties of this TFT.

In looking at the data sheet the connector appears to be a 54 circuit 0.5 mm pitch connector based on the dimension "P0.5X(54-1)=26.5)" not the 0.35 dimension above it. Anyway this is not a common circuit count. I found one source : http://www.kemax-connector.com/FPC-FFC-0.50mm-020-ZIF.htm
Secondly looking at the pinout shows that the drive IC is in the LCD display.
I believe this is the display that is used in the HP df300a3 Digital Picture Frame.
Found that Molex has a connector http://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/512965494_sd.pdf
available at Mouser (sorry SparkFun)

Controller! Connector! Why not sell these things?!
Later datasheet for the HX8218...http://www.trulydisplays.com/tft/driveric/Driver%20IC%20HX8218.pdf
This is a Chip on Glass COG package, not something for the experimentor to try to attach to a pcb. :-)
breakout board please!! even just a simple one with a connector and headers, but the driver would be welcome too
You do not need the mentioned HX8218 Controller, this is only the internal LCD source driver controller. To get the display working you have to use a normal LCD controller such as SSD1906. By the way - this kind of display is used in many 3.5" cheap digital photo frames...
Can I use this LCD (sku: LCD-08490) with the Beagle Board directly? If so, do you also provide the conectors for the board and is it compatible with the beagle board LCD header?
I just programming the LCD(Color LCD TFT 3.5" 320x240
sku: LCD-08490),but i don't know connect VCOM,VGH,VGL pin it to my board.
thanks everybody read my comment
Is the HX8218A integrated, or an external component? Do we have connectors on the way?
