PICASO Universal Base Board

This is a base board for the PICASO graphics controller. RS232 level translation and a socket for the PICASO module are all included with this device to get you up and running quickly with PICASO.

Note: The micro-SD socket is non-functional.

    So.... Why is the mSD slot there, then?

        The PICASSO lets you display image files directly from a local SD card, rather than having to store them elsewhere and send them to the board through the (slow) serial link.

        EDIT: never mind, I just read our own product page ;) I know other 4D products have that capability so it must be vestigial.
