Transceiver nRF24L01 Olimex USB Dongle

This is the base unit for the Wireless JTAG programming system. The USB Dongle uses the Nordic nRF24L01 wireless radio coupled with a SAM7. Can be used as a replacement for the Wireless JTAG programming system or work alone as a nRF24L01 USB development board.

    Hello,
    I need to send 1 Megabyte of data ( an Image) from one laptop to other using wireless in 30 seconds. distance of 10m to 50m.
    s this product: Transceiver nRF24L01 Olimex USB Dongle
    (sku: WRL-08859) suitable for my requirement?
    Is it possible to reprogram the firmware. if so, which tool is used to program and burn it to the chip?

    Is it just me, or does the receiver seem simpler and apparently cost $121?
