This breakout board is designed to simplify the physical connection both the small and large Kent reflective ChLCDs. All power and control pins necessary to communicate with the Kent displays are broken out to a breadboard friendly 0.1" pitch header. Kent displays are unique in that they can retain their image disconnected from any power source, they are controlled via a SPI-compatible interface.
Populated on this breakout board are 16-pin FPC connector, 3.3V LDO voltage regulator and a couple decoupling capacitors. This product also includes a 2" flex cable.

Does the board need 5 or 3.3v on VPWR? The DataSheet says it needs 4-9 V supply and 3.3V logic power.
The board has a 3.3V regulator on-board, so it only needs a 4-9V supply on the VPWR breakout line.
Anyone have any insight on hacking the Boogie Board? If so, it looks like we could play with a cholesteric LCD for $29.95.
Found this guy's attempt but it didn't work out. I'd love to see SF give it a try!
