We here at SparkFun are excited to help you on your journey as you study engineering whether that is electrical, mechanical, computer, civil, chemical, or even a completely different discipline. While we carry a variety of electrical and mechanical components we have also partnered with the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown to provide you with the SparkFun Inventor's Kit - v4.1 for your classes. We hope you enjoy your kit and the wonderful world of engineering.
Students will use the SparkFun Inventor's Kit - v4.1 in ENGR0018: Introduction to Engineering Computing. The kit provides an equipment foundation, and may be expanded as your academic career progresses. ENGR0018 Introduces engineering problem solving, with an emphasis on computers as an engineering tool. The course explores computer based mathematical computations; integrated development environments; design, development, and debugging software programs. Software systems such as MATLAB, Mathcad, and C/C++ languages are used.
ENGR0018 will utilize the SparkFun Inventor Kit to supplement the course, providing a "hands on" environment, working with micro-controllers. This facilitates real-world learning by integrating programming and hardware interaction with the Arduino programming (which is based on C/C++) language.
Be sure to discuss specific course requirements with your Professor, particularly when you will be required to start bringing the SparkFun micro-controller kit to class.
Use promo code EDUPITTMGS19 for special pricing.
While your professor does not require the parts below we think you might enjoy them in addition to the kit.
