Ok, the argument for it being a few clicks to win a prize is insulting. I tried, off and on, all day and was awarded nothing...probably 1000+ attempts. Also, this supposed $200k they are giving away doesn't include the markup they place on the products they sell. Hence, they aren't really giving away $200k, @ a 15% markup that would realistically be $170k. One other thing, if this was to promote new customers, where were the ads and products on the captcha screen, if the captcha screen is all a potential customer saw, I don't think they were given info or incentive to see the products offered on the site.
In hindsight, the captcha was probably not the best idea, but I still love Sparkfun.
