Used a couple of XBee Series 2 in a project with Raspberry Pi and Python. Had trouble with serial libraries for Python and ended up using the radios in AT mode. They worked like a charm and we manage to send commands from the command center to the rover and receive photos and instrument data from the rover. Project blog: https://rpyrover.wordpress.com
